Empire State of Mind

November 20, 2011

I travel to New York quite often, but rarely have the chance to sight see. On my last trip, I took my camera and took a little time on my walk between the hotel and the office to take a few photos of the city.

I am not a huge fan of the metropolitan areas, but you can find pockets of beauty in among the press of buildings and cars and people.

Central Park -- not actually on the way from the hotel to the office, but still a nice place to visit.

One of the buildings in Rockefeller Center.

Statue in Rockefeller Center at night.

Same statue by day.

There are an amazing number of ornate churches in New York.

Because of the high rises, light falls in segments across the city.

The front of the same church. It's apparently under construction or refurbishment at the moment.
