Hawaiian Adventures — Ben’s Birds, Part II

As promised, below are the second set of bird photos for my bird-loving nephew. It’s only of one bird — a peacock that was strutting its stuff at Waimea Valley. I was amazed to watch such a grand display.

The peacock was clearly searching for its peahen. It filled the entrance to the botanical garden in the valley with his calls for at least 15 minutes.

 

While I was bummed that I couldn’t capture a great photo of the bird without the tent in the background, I thought it provided a nice perspective of just how tall his tail plumage was when fully extended.
