Strange Bedfellows I

November 17, 2012

The other day, I decided to invest in a new bed for Cooper. The one I generally keep downstairs for him has … well … definitely seen better days. I have washed it repeatedly and the animals still love it, but it is not really presentable for the front room of the house. I decided it could go up in my office when I found another, nicer one for the downstairs.

Not long after I made the decision, I found the perfect bed. It was big enough for Cooper, nice and padded and the color matched the rest of the furniture in the room. As soon as I brought it home, of course, Cooper ignored it. I knew it was just a matter of time before it was utilized.

The next morning, when I walked out, I found it being used … by one of the cats.

Since the first cat crawled in there, two more have checked out the comfort for themselves.

So, yes … that means that every animal in the house has used the bed except for Lilly, who never sleeps in a bed (she prefers sleeping on high perches), and Cooper, who I bought the dumb bed for in the first place.

I guess I can’t complain. At least the bed is getting used.
