New Little Feathered Friend

May 24, 2013

We have had inclement weather the past week in Oregon. Between the rain and the wind and the plunging temperatures, it’s been hard to remember that spring has actually sprung.

Apparently, the local wildlife has had the same issue.

This morning, when I returned from a trip to the coffee shop (must have my daily infusion of caffeine), I discovered a little gray bird tucked in close to my house. He didn’t seem to mind my car idling so close to his little roost, but I didn’t dare get out of the vehicle to try to step closer to him. I didn’t want to scare him away from the little shelter he managed to find in the wake of the morning precipitation. I was just grateful to be able to steal a few shots of the beautiful bit of nature.

I have no idea what kind of bird he might be. Do any of you know?
