The Need for Something Pretty

November 5, 2013

The past week has been daunting with Colby.

She has gotten increasingly bored confined to her crate, which has led her to do things like play with her water. I’m not talking about a little dabbing at the water here and there. I’m talking about full-on dumping the water over and over and over again. When I changed the bowl out for something that was less tip-able, she proceeded to slosh the water out of the bowl with her paws.

Needless to say, I had to clean up water, wet litter and soggy food from her crate three times today. And, I had to wash all of her bedding.

So, with that as a backdrop, I have decided that I need to spend a little time enjoying pictures taken while on vacation. These are from Roads End, an Oregon beach I’ve visited before with Cooper. This time, with a good friend in tow, we made our way to the end of the beach, enjoying the surf and birds and sun.

Cooper, of course, was his natural, unimpressed self.

That last vertical image is pretty with the clouds

    • Thanks. My friend was the one who pointed out how beautiful the clouds were. I was busy taking pics of the ocean. It was a good reminder that sometimes it’s good to stop looking through the viewfinder and actually take in the world. 🙂
